Overall, I was not happy with the final performance, but I felt that it went better than it could have been, as lines were learnt and the comedy within the production seemed to work well with the audience. I felt that our play was roughly performed and there wasn't much cohesion within the group and it felt like we were just going through a rough run through of the play. I did feel that we projected our voices well and did an okay job of capturing our audience and keeping them engrossed through the play. I felt that we could have improved our play by experimenting more and seeing what did and didn't work during rehearsals and changing ideas and scenes if it was necessary. I also felt that our timed movements and movements as an ensemble could have been improved if had gone over them and practiced them within rehearsal. I think we could have done well by finding our characters and their individual traits to help the audience connect and relate to the characters much better than we did. One thing I was impressed with was Kitty's work on the script as she produced a well written script that was funny to listen to and perform in such a short space of time.
Overall I felt that the project started well and we worked together well for that particular part but the hard work and determination slipped as the project progressed, meaning we eventually performed some mediocre at best and that we could have improved it by working much harder in rehearsals to produce good work.

Rehearsals
Overall, I felt that rehearsals were the weakest points of our overall project. After finding our site and establishing that we wanted to work there, progress seemed to slow down very dramatically at that point, which I felt were down to many combining factors. One of the first things I noticed is the group were very uninspired after we found the site. We struggled to find ideas that we could all agree on and ideas were not coming thick and fast as we struggled to incorporate the site into the ideas we were coming up with. For the first few weeks we found ourselves sitting on our sites, unsuccessfully brainstorming ideas and then moving to the library to do the same thing and I generally found there was a lack of drive, determination and focus to make the piece as interesting and thought provoking as we could. I also found we were very unfocused and members of the group often found them selves sidetracking from the task at hand when ideas were not coming so easily to us and I felt that overall we did not take the project as seriously as we should have taken it. Another thing I found was there were too many people trying to lead the project, often meaning that ideas would get shouted/spoken over each other and that no one would take anything on board or try to practice and see how ideas worked as everyone was too busy trying to get their ideas heard. After a few weeks of unsuccessful rehearsals, an idea finally came about that everyone could agree with, which which was an idea about scandals revolving around political campaign, after this I found that things slightly improved, but I did not feel like rehearsals were taken seriously as people were easily distracted, on more that one occasion we were not successfully able to run over the entire play, and lines were not learned days before the piece. Even after an absence on the performance day which meant we were not able to perform when were supposed to, an extra rehearsal were were supposed to have was just abandoned as people did not turn up and everybody gave up. Overall I felt that rehearsals were the biggest points of failure throughout the project.
Forming the group
We formed a group of nine people that consisted of 9 people (Kitty, Amaya, Molly, Josh, Georgia, Sacha, Moyo, Immie and Me) as we thought that we were different sorts of people that could all bring something different to the group and also to experience properly creating a company and learning to work together. The first thing we were instructed to do was to find 2 possible places to find and use as our site for our production. At first the searching did not go too well as we were unsure about what we wanted to use and could not initially draw any inspiration from out from the potential sites we looked at that were inside the building, so we decided to try and look for potential sites outside and on the rest of the school ground. We found better luck as one of the first places we noticed was the fire exit as it had both pipes that were dated from the mid nineties, and lots of old vases and general rubbish stored under the stairs. we were aware of how closed the space was but we thought that we could work with the information that we were getting from the site. we carried out a risk assessment there and then and moved on. The next site we decided to use was the space behind the back of the canteen , as one side had lots of junk and old household items and the other side was quite official clean looking space. I personally got quite slot of inspiration from this site as it reminded quite a bit of Steven Kings's Lord of The Flies and of childhood fun and innocents. I also thought this site was a good site due to the fact that there was lots of space for audience members to watch whatever we put on. We carried out a risk assessment and then began thinking and toying with different ideas. We were also required to get permission from the site mangers so that we could get the go ahead for rehearsals and performance. After writing these letters we had to give up the idea of using the fire exit for our piece as we were not allowed to block the fire stairs and also because there were too many safety Hazards, meaning that we had no choice but to use the space behind the canteen for our performance area.
